We are deeply conditioned to people please! From a young age we are often taught that to be accepted into the family unit we must “do right” >> “be a good girl” and here begins the pattern of giving our power away in order to fit in, feel safe and avoid rejection. We may suppress an authentic part of ourselves and mould who we are.

Consequently we grow up having blurry boundaries in our adult relationships.
Beneath it we have a fear of rejection and value our self worth based on how much we give to others, living from a constant place of fear.
If this sounds like you.. Here’s 3 tips to begin to re-wire this pattern:
1. Awareness – this is where it begins! Becoming aware of your fear based actions is the very first step. Catching yourself each time you say YES to something even though if feels like a big fat clear NO.
2. Journal – this is a powerful practice in re-wiring the neurological patterns in the brain. So choose specific people or situations you struggle to speak your truth to and get clear around why that is.
3. Action – nothing can really change until you action it! So once you have clarity, put your boundaries into practice. Use clear communication and kindness! Having clear boundaries doesn’t mean becoming hard and hot headed but simply clearly and confidently communicating your truth.
