Meditation, my first experiences were mainly about trying to shut down after a panic attack. It was my uncle that introduced me to it after I came of the London underground in full panic attack, when you have one they make you want to run, or do something like fight it, or even freeze on the spot holding on because your energy has been zapped and you feel you’ll drop to the floor.

My nan was 2 mins from the station so I ran there, I admitted to them what had happened and he gave me headphones and dolphin music.
.
I layed down, could not calm down! So my thoughts became ‘shit I can’t calm down’ then I just focused on the sounds and imagined I was in the ocean with them, I calmed down. And I didn’t want to get up, I was so relaxed. It felt good to know I could feel calm as prior to this I felt wound up like a clock for weeks.
.
Everytime I mediate 1 of 2 things can happen.
.
1. I’m mentally ready for meditation, I’m looking forward to it, I’m feeling calm about it, I feel organised & when I come to do it, voila! it goes like a dream, yes I have thoughts but I observe them and let them pass without it shaking up my mojo.
.
2. I’ve been rushing all day, not enough time for any task I’m wound up like a clock, I get to group meditaion and sit exhausted after rushing and this is now the first time all day I’ve stopped. Now I’m on edge it’s impossible to go from that to relaxed in secs and ready for meditaion, then I think why did I do that? I should have knocked a few things of the to do list cause now I’m pumped, I should have said no to that last task instead of no I want to get it all done. I sit through the meditaion there is no way i can really meditate, i find my mind panicking in a way, rushing through the entire day in my mind and i have to watch the whole thing with my eyes closed, by the time the group leader says ok thats it ive only just finished all that thinking.

Nothing works if you’re not prepared if youve not given it some time, rush rush and then.
